The famous Mughal emperor who built the Taj Mahal had a Muslim father\u00a0and a Hindu mother.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, \u00a0today Muslims won\u2019t bury the bodies of suicide bombers.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Friedman argues \u201cThat\u2019s why India\u2019s Muslims, who are the second-largest Muslim community in the world after Indonesia\u2019s, and the one with the deepest democratic tradition, do a great service to Islam by delegitimizing suicide-murderers by refusing to bury their bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/op-talk.blogs.nytimes.com\/2014\/10\/16\/why-indias-muslims-havent-radicalized\/?_php=true&amp;_type=blogs&amp;mabReward=RI%3A8&amp;action=click&amp;pgtype=Homepage&amp;region=CColumn&amp;module=Recommendation&amp;src=rechp&amp;WT.nav=RecEngine&amp;_r=0:\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">the New York Times<\/a>, the democratic tradition about which Friedman talks, is growing thin. That\u2019 because conditions are getting worse for India\u2019s Muslims and many believe that the India\u2019s new Prime minister, Narendra Modi, isn\u2019t helping them at all.
