This is the question that two Swedish scientists set out to answer. They did so by using something called a \u201cWorld Values Survey.\u201d The idea, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/blogs\/worldviews\/wp\/2013\/05\/15\/a-fascinating-map-of-the-worlds-most-and-least-racially-tolerant-countries\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">according to the Washington Post is thi<\/a>s: \u201cthe more frequently that people in a given country say they don\u2019t want neighbors from other races, the economists reasoned, the less racially tolerant you could call that society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The scientists did not include all the data from the survey, so the story\u2019s author, Max Fisher, went back to the source and created this infographic \u2013\u201cIf we treat this data as indicative of racial tolerance, then we might conclude that people in the bluer countries are the least likely to express racist attitudes, while the people in red countries are the most likely.\u201d The results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anglo and Latin countries most tolerant.<\/li>\n<li>India, Jordan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong by far the least tolerant<\/li>\n<li>The Middle East not so tolerant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Does economic freedom indicate a greater tolerance for race?
