One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. \u201cSuch bad luck,\u201d they said sympathetically. \u201cMay be,\u201d the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. \u201cHow wonderful,\u201d the neighbors exclaimed. \u201cMay be,\u201d replied the old man. The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. \u201cMay be,\u201d answered the farmer. The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son\u2019s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. \u201cMay be,\u201d said the farmer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>I invite you to contemplate this beautiful story. \u00a0Close your eyes, and contemplate.
