So it is raining outside, and I bring my load of dirty clothes to the laundry mat. \u00a0Put the pile on the machine, load my quarters in, put clothes in and detergent, and take my book out and read. \u00a0As it rained, the smell of rain came into the laundry mat, and I sipped my coffee as I read. \u00a0And then I remembered a speech, I was raised in SF and love baseball and used to like football but it is what it is now, so I happen to be a Giants fan and they were recently down two games in a best of five series, they traveled to the other teams ball park and in my mind the odds of them winning the next three games were pretty much resting at 15 %, very low.<\/p>\n

Before the game one of the players Hunter Pence gathered the team together and said the following, \u00a0\u201cget in here, everyone get in here..look into each other eyes..now! look into each others eyes, I want one more day with you, it\u2019s the most fun, the best team I have ever been on, and no matter what happens\u00a0we must not give in, we owe it to each other, play for each other, I need one more day with you guys, I need to see what Theriot will wear tomorrow, I want to play defense behind Vogelsong because he\u2019s never been to the playoffs..play for each other not yourself, win each moment, win each inning, it\u2019s all we have left\u201d.<\/p>\n

I read this speech and was moved by the rawness of love, love for a brother, love for something bigger, love for the moment, love for leaving it all on the line. \u00a0It is the reason we love the infinite, love our friends, family, love life, is because we know there is something bigger here and that we are bigger than we play, and then our partner, friend, stranger, reminds us that life is about now. \u00a0Not tomorrow, not yesterday, but right now. \u00a0Your back is against the wall, you are crying your guts out, you are healing, you have a presentation to give, where ever you are, give your best love, your best take on love, just give \u00a0it all.<\/p>\n

I say this because the Giants ended up winning the next three games and moving on. \u00a0Coming together as a team ,family, friends, company, nation, is so much better than living for just you. You are great, but service is greater. \u00a0Service to your family, children, practice, etc\u2026 so to you my brothers and sisters, we are a family, believe it or not, but we can get a lot done together. So lets help each other out, with a smile, a thank you, or \u201cI see you an you matter\u201d, it doesn\u2019t take a lot. Look Hunter Pence delivered this speech for his team and I am commenting on it, \u00a0on my blog. What you do matters, what you say matters, so matter. TODAY GIVE YOUR BEST LOVE TO EVERYONE! You don\u2019t have to be a speaker, a healer, writer, or anything else to give love, you just have to be who you are, which is enough and frankly is LOVE and LOVABLE.<\/p>\n

I remember going through a difficult stretch last year, and my daughter turning to me at 3 and half years old, hugging me tight and saying, \u201cI love you Dad\u201d. \u00a0We all make a difference, we might see it, but we do.<\/p>\n

Thank you to my friends, parents, sister, daughter, ex\u2019s, teachers, family, publisher, Patheos, clients, radio guests, Agape, and everyone who has come into my life to support, love, give, accept, play, and laugh. You have made a huge difference in my life, and you know who you are.<\/p>\n
