Ted Cruz (along with Bobby Jindal and Mike Huckabee) spoke at Kevin Swanson’s National Religious Liberties Conference last weekend. One of the first things he said was that non-Christians aren’t fit to be President:
No matter how brilliant, no matter how kind, if he doesn’t believe a guy rose from the dead 2,000 years ago then he’s unfit. Right.
Slavery? No working on the Sabbath? No shellfish? Hey man, it was a different time! Gay people? Kill them because the bible is absolute.
This is where we stand in America: a person can attend an event run by a guy who thinks roughly 10% of the population should be murdered and still be a candidate for the office. Hey, at least he doesn’t doubt that a guy rose from the dead 2,000 years ago, otherwise we’d be in real trouble, right?
