Alan Rickman, who played Hans Gruber in Die Hard, Professor Snape in the Harry Potter movies, and countless other roles in movies special to most of us (Galaxy Quest, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Love Actually, the list goes on and on), has died.
Like David Bowie, it was cancer.
And like that, part of the childhood of so many people died with him. Mine and Michaelyn’s room is bedecked in Ravenclaw swag. We took our honeymoon to Harry Potter world. She’s read each book multiple times. This morning has not been easy for her.
Cancer is an asshole. We ought to dig its heart out with a spoon. Why a spoon (rather than a sword or an axe)? Because it’s dull you twit! It will hurt more.
