An e-mail popped into my box this morning from a reader.<\/p>\n

Hi there.\u00a0 I am a convert to Catholicism.\u00a0 I converted in 1996.\u00a0 In the last 2.5 years I have had a re-conversion of sorts.\u00a0 My family that I grew up in are Southern Baptists and are devout.\u00a0 They occasionally send me things I feel are a little passive aggressive in nature attacking the way I practice my faith. (rosary, daily mass, saints, etc)\u00a0 Here is the latest thing they sent me:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
<\/iframe><\/code><\/p>\n<blockquote>It riled me a bit.\u00a0 Am I over reacting and looking for an angle or does this rub you the wrong way a bit too?\u00a0 Or do you think this is sound theology?<\/p>\nThank you,<\/p><\/blockquote>\nI wrote the person back and said I\u2019d look into this later, as I was at my \u201cday job.\u201d But I looked at the video though, and I knew there was going to be plenty to say. I mean seriously, Jesus sure doesn\u2019t want you to color the world from the perspective <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/yimcatholic\/2012\/01\/iran-iran-so-far-away-thank-god-for-truth-telling-fools.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">of a Republicrat\/Demoblican<\/a>, to say the least. Sheesh.<\/p>\nThe good news is, \u201cthe Kid\u201d, aka Marc Barnes, you know, Bad Catholic<\/em>, said just about everything that needs to be said. I mean later today. In the afternoon. Providentially.<\/p>\nSo forthwith, go and read his post, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/badcatholic\/2012\/01\/why-i-hate-religion-but-love-jesus-the-smackdow.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus \u2014The Smackdown<\/a>, with the utmost dispatch. And remember this to: the kid in the video above is gifted, but he might want to follow in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/yimcatholic\/2012\/01\/marky-mark-grew-up-and-digs-the-new-translation.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Mark \u201cMarky Mark\u201d Wahlberg\u2019s footsteps<\/a>. Pronto. Otherwise, we\u2019ll have another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/yimcatholic\/2012\/01\/justin-bieber-i-dont-think-im-religious-i-am-spiritual.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cI\u2019m spiritual, but not religious\u201d<\/a> casualty on our hands.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/witness2christ.blogspot.com\/2011\/12\/are-you-spiritual-or-religious.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Because religion is for grownups; spirituality is for kids.<\/a><\/p>\nOK, my work is done here.
