I have to be honest.<\/p>\n

When my friend first showed me the website for The Great Cross Alliance<\/a> I thought it was a parody. I mean, seriously, if someone showed you this picture and said a 3,000 ft long, nearly 2,000 ft wide, and almost 200 ft high cross was going to be built in the middle of the Nevada desert would you believe them?<\/p>\n

Ok, it is America and it is Nevada and stranger things have happened out in that desert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But what if I told you that same ginormous cross, which I assume\/hope will be visible from space, would also be filled with dead people and marketed as a tourist attraction? Then you\u2019d have to be like \u201cCome on, Zack, you\u2019re just messing with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ok, I give up. You\u2019re right. This is American Christianity we\u2019re talking about. This is not surprising at all. In fact, it was probably bound to happen eventually.<\/p>\n

But, of course, before it does happen, this thing needs to be funded.<\/p>\n

Well, not all<\/em> of your questions. I couldn\u2019t find FAQs for some of my more pressing questions like \u201cAre you kidding me?\u201d and \u201cWhy God, why?\u201d<\/p>\n

But, you know, they did put together a much better presentation than I would have assumed a person would who wanted to build a giant cross in the middle of the desert and stuff it full of dead people.<\/p>\n
