You guys, Pat Robertson has solved the healthcare crisis!!<\/p>\n

According to Pat, tithing is a cure-all for poverty and whatever ails you.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because the Bible says so.<\/p>\n<\/iframe>\nOf course, the Bible doesn\u2019t actually say so, but that\u2019s never stopped Pat before.<\/p>\nHere\u2019s the passage from Malachi that Pat tells us to read closely\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\u201cBring the whole tithe\u00a0into the storehouse,\u00a0that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,\u201d says the\u00a0Lord\u00a0Almighty, \u201cand see if I will not throw open the floodgates\u00a0of heaven and pour out\u00a0so much blessing\u00a0that there will not be room enough to store it.\u00a0I will prevent pests from devouring\u00a0your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,\u201d says the\u00a0Lord\u00a0Almighty.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\nIn other words, God does say God will bless you (if \u201cyou\u201d are the people of Israel 3,000 years ago), but that whole \u201ckeeping back the devourer\u201d nonsense only applies to farmers and even they don\u2019t have any guarantees about not getting sick.<\/p>\nCall me cynical, but I have a sneaking suspicion that by \u201cpaying your tithe\u201d Pat really means \u201csending your love offering to the 700 Club.\u201d<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"You guys, Pat Robertson has solved the healthcare crisis!!
