You may have seen this trailer pop up in your Facebook newsfeed recently. It\u2019s for a movie called God\u2019s Not Dead<\/a><\/em>\u00a0which stars Superman, Hercules, and the Newsboys.<\/p>\n

Real talk \u2013 if Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo actually played Superman and Hercules in this movie and battled the Newsboys that would be beyond incredible.<\/p>\n

I would pay to see that move in heartbeat.<\/p>\n

And if it was in IMAX 3D?!?!<\/p>\n

Oh my. That would be too amazing for words.<\/p>\n

Anyway, here\u2019s the preview\u2026<\/p>\n<\/iframe>\n<p>If the premise of this movie sounds familiar, it should. And I don\u2019t just mean the cliche academy vs. religion battle.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m talking about this\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/941\/2013\/10\/Screen-Shot-2013-10-24-at-10.30.13-AM.png\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10992\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2013-10-24 at 10.30.13 AM\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/941\/2013\/10\/Screen-Shot-2013-10-24-at-10.30.13-AM.png\" width=\"513\" height=\"638\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Look familiar?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">If you\u2019ve got Christian Facebook friends, then you\u2019ve probably seen this story many, many times before. (But <a href=\"http:\/\/allanjh.tumblr.com\/post\/21307828565\/debunking-dogma-the-evil-atheist-professor-vs\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">here\u2019s the whole thing<\/a> if you need a trip down memory lane)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">It\u2019s the beginning of a meme that was spreading like wildfire in Christian circles a while back in which a young Christian college student supposedly embarrassed his atheist professor by beating him at his own philosophical game.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">And who was this student you may ask?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">None other than Albert Einstein!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Of course, like virtually every other \u201coh my gosh that\u2019s so crazy!\u201d meme that\u2019s floating around Facebook, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.snopes.com\/religion\/einstein.asp\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">this story is not true<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">But apparently that didn\u2019t stop the folks behind <em>God\u2019s Not Dead<\/em>\u00a0from turning it into the first movie based on a Facebook meme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">A groundbreaking achievement to be sure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Ok, look, I\u2019ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they weren\u2019t cruising around Facebook, stumbled upon this meme, and thought \u201cThis should be a movie!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">But even if they didn\u2019t, even if this is just playing up the old \u201cthe academy hates God\u201d stereotype, one thing seems pretty clear to me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">God may not be dead.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">But apparently Christian creativity is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\n<\/p><\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You may have seen this trailer pop up in your Facebook newsfeed recently.
