Pastor Steven Anderson has a long and well established reputation for bringing the crazy in the desert.<\/p>\n

This Phoenix area pastor has taken bold biblical stands against men sitting down to pee<\/a>, National Geographic Magazine<\/a>, Christian music<\/a>, and women in general<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ridiculousness is essentially his spiritual gift.<\/p>\n

But, apparently, Pastor Anderson\u2019s fundamentalism has taken a strange and, frankly, disturbing new turn.<\/p>\n

In his latest sermon, entitled The Jews and Their Lies<\/em> (and perhaps inspired by Martin Luther?<\/a>), Anderson exposes what he calls \u201cthe lies of the Jews.\u201d It\u2019s part of an even more alarming effort to release a \u201cdocumentary\u201d entitled Marching To Zion<\/em> in which Anderson will presumedly continue his Nazi propaganda.<\/p>\n

Among the lies Anderson seeks to expose?<\/p>\n

That Jews don\u2019t actually believe in the Torah.<\/em><\/p>\n

You know, the core books of their faith \u2013 Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.<\/p>\n

His rationale \u2013 if you can call it that \u2013 is that if you don\u2019t believe Jesus was\/is the Messiah, then you\u2019re a liar.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s safe to say that Anderson understands what the word \u201cliar\u201d means.<\/p>\n

But while there\u2019s part of me that just wants to laugh at Anderson\u2019s fundamentalist ridiculousness \u2013 and bizarre understanding of what it means to be a liar \u2013 this new(?) embrace of anti-semitism is simply repugnant and should be denounced by Christians everywhere.<\/p>\n

Because no matter how many Bible verses he quotes, it\u2019s not biblical theology he\u2019s preaching.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just bigotry.<\/p>\n

Now, I know it\u2019s too much to expect this to be the beginning of the end of his less than illustrious YouTube preaching career.<\/p>\n
