\n<\/iframe>\n\u00a0<\/p>\nI\u2019m not going to be able to write much about this video\u2026 mostly because it makes me so incredibly angry. \u00a0It\u2019s not because someone doesn\u2019t like President Obama, and it\u2019s \u00a0not because someone is to the right of me politically. \u00a0 It\u2019s because of the arrogant way that this person degrades the idea of serving others.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\nIt is a response to President Obama\u2019s call to Americans to serve others on 9\/11 to honor those servants that gave of themselves 10 years ago. \u00a0The person who edited the video feels that this is a huge waste of time\u2026 maybe even anti-Christian. \u00a0He feels that we should simply come together and pray for our country and those who have lost lives.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\nI agree with the poster- this should be a time of prayer and\u00a0remembrance. \u00a0However, the vitriol that he displays for serving your neighbor is downright sickening. \u00a0I wonder if this advocate for prayer is familiar with the Jesus of Scripture at all. \u00a0Has he read the Sermon on the Mount? \u00a0Has he read the prophets of old who warned Israel about the consequences of ignoring social justice issues in their nation?<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\nBy all means, pray. \u00a0Let us not pretend that prayer and religious trappings is what God desires above all. \u00a0I\u2019ll leave you with these words of Christ from the ninth chapter of Matthew, and let you decide which is more desirable to God\u2026 religious motions or loving our neighbor.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\nGo and learn what this means, \u201cI desire mercy, not sacrifice.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u00a0 \u00a0
