So, all this time I thought it would awesome to have a driving range next to my church.<\/p>\n

Turns out that would actually a little dangerous.<\/p>\n

Church fears God and golf balls

(CNN) \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Congregants at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Virginia, aren\u2019t just bowing their heads to pray, they are also ducking golf balls.<\/p><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/h1>\n

Despite nets and other efforts by a driving range that abuts the church property, duffers\u00a0are shanking tee shots onto the church\u2019s property, knocking out windows and hitting church members.<\/p>\n

<\/h1>\n

One shot even hit the church\u2019s youth pastor. \u201cThe ball came through the trees and hit him on the head. He fell to the ground, stunned but not unconscious,\u201d Robert Mackey, an elder at the church told\u00a0CNN\u00a0affiliate\u00a0WUSA.<\/p>\n

<\/h1>\n

Mackey said he has found 2,600 golf balls on the church\u2019s property in just the past year.<\/p>\n

<\/h1>\n

\u201cOur staff lives with the fear of being hit by a golf ball any time and that just doesn\u2019t seem right to me,\u201d he said to WUSA.<\/p>\n
