This is the view I\u2019m waking up to this week.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m in the Outer Banks with my wife\u2019s family for the week and so far it\u2019s been wonderful.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s not all fun and games for me.<\/p>\n

A couple of weeks ago I got the substantive edit for my book The Scandal of Holiness: Dirty Hands, Unclean Lips, and the Power of Redemptive Embrace<\/em><\/a> (coming this September from CLC Publications \u2013 hint, hint). I was supposed to have those edits completed and returned last Friday. However, in the tradition of all great writers (Maybe? I hope? I don\u2019t really know) or at least writers with full-time jobs that don\u2019t allow them to do much writing, I\u2019m a bit behind on getting those edits done.<\/p>\n

So, in order to get my manuscript complete so it can actually be released in September, I\u2019m going to be taking a break from the blog this week to get that work done.<\/p>\n

If all goes as plan, the edits will be done by the end of the week and I\u2019ll be back at it on the blog next Monday.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, I\u2019ve got a ton of work (a little vacation) to do.<\/p>\n

Sincere thanks for your understanding and giving me this little break I really need. I think it will be worth it.\u00a0I\u2019m really excited about this book finally be released so you can actually read it.<\/p>\n

So stay tuned, because you will be hear a lot more<\/em> from me about the The Scandal of Holiness<\/em> once I get back from the beach.<\/p>\n
