Sexual Abuse: Protecting the Church or Killing It?

But what haunts me most about this crisis are the untold stories of those young men and women who took their lives rather than deal with the shame of what happened to them, and all their parents who have spent years asking themselves "Why?" "What could we have done to make a difference?" while visiting their children's graves, instead of going to their weddings and cuddling their grandchildren.

It's Easter, and my faith tells me new life comes.  My faith tells me that the Holy Spirit is in charge of the Church, leading us into the future. So my faith tells me that in spite of how bleak things look, we're not in this alone... God will see us through. And that through the suffering and the Cross, we will together come to new life...

My faith tells me that... I just wish my heart would catch up....
