The book includes an appeal not to give up on the old classics just because they're written in a different language and cultural context. Why should we read these challenging spiritual classics?

 

Twenty-five books every Christian should read—that's quite a claim, especially considering that this list mostly features classics from the Western tradition. How representative do you think these works are of the spirituality of every Christian?
