Jehovah’s Witnesses define themselves as “a group of Christians who proclaim the truth about Jehovah.” They consider themselves to be Christians even though they reject the doctrine of the Trinity. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jesus Christ was not divine, and instead see the Holy Spirit as an “active force” and not just a person. They believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God, and lived in Heaven before coming to earth. Because he is a created being of God, he therefore cannot be a part of the Trinity. They do believe that Jesus gave his life to make it possible for others to have everlasting life in heaven if they followed the faith.
