Catholic Parenting in a Facebook Age

This afternoon, with a thousand clicks of the mouse, and ten thousand more pecks on the keyboard, my children will have one hundred fleeting conversations with one hundred acquaintances.

St. Ignatius of Antioch remarked that “It is better to be silent and to be than to not be silent and not be.”

So, as a mother to my children: I call you to rise, and to be.  Like Christ to Lazarus, I call you.  Come out of the tomb.
