Vaccines and Autism: A Matter of Trust

Media also sensationalize medical and research stories, blaring wild, accusatory headlines on page one, above the fold, and then sticking their corrections on page 36 two years later. It has become very difficult to trust the information we seek.

We want our children to be safe from both disease and disabilities. We also have moral obligations to be careful about what goes into our children's bodies. Knowing that doctors and scientists, media and government agencies are not always honest just makes the job that much more difficult. When parents begin to make their decisions out of fear and distrust, greedy research scientists and medical hacks, sensationalizing media and overreaching governments have no one to blame but themselves.
