“Listen little girl…you’re really cute and all, but I don’t believe in Jesus.” October 10, 2007

“Listen little girl…you’re really cute and all, but I don’t believe in Jesus.”

A hilarious conversation between a little girl trying to convert people to Christianity (which is frightening on so many levels) and an intelligent college student trying to figure out how to balance being polite and being firm in her beliefs:

Here it goes. Now I have to look like a jerk and be a pain in the ass with a little girl in pigtails. “I don’t read the bible.”

“You should. You’ll go to hell if you don’t.”

“You forget, I don’t believe in hell.”

“Just because you don’t believe in it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.”

“Do you believe in Lala land?” I asked her.

“What’s Lala Land?”

“A lot of people already live there and they don’t believe it.”

“Is it in the bible?”

“I don’t know, I don’t read the bible.”

“Do you go to church?”

“Not your church.”

“But you go to a church?”

“Listen little girl…you’re really cute and all, but I don’t believe in Jesus.”

That’s just a part of it.

The little girl was pwned.

This article is hilarious. People seem to be all in an uproar in the comments too. The thing that is most amusing is that these religious types are so insecure — they take the article personally when it really seems to be more of a defense against evangelists and proselytizing than an overall attack on religion or even all Christians. Man, those folks are sensitive. Maybe deep down they know they don’t have a leg to stand on.

That would be a hilarious story if it weren’t for the fact that the little girl wouldn’t BE doing that if it weren’t for her $*#@(%*@ asshole parents who brainwashed her and sent her out to do that. Poor little thing is messed up for life, and I’m sure not everyone will be as kind as that blogger.

Two children came to my grandfather’s door many years ago trying to evangelize…my mom remembers that he sent them back to the car to get their parents. Then ripped the parents a new one for doing that to their children.

Licenses. Why aren’t their LICENSES required to reproduce and raise human beings?!?!

What’s “pwned”? Is that a typo or does it mean something, I can’t tell anymore?

That poor little brat. I think she’ll probably grow out of it, though. It’s hard to maintain such closed-mindedness in…wait, this is in Colorado? Nevermind.
    What a waste.

Seeing the children sent out to push this stuff was one of the saddest parts of that movie Jesus Camp.

    Pwned.

I used to work in a retail store that had some computers on display. One of the computers stopped working, so we needed to take it off the floor, and for security reasons, this was intentionally made difficult. I was assigned the task of removing the computer, and it was taking several minutes to accomplish. A small boy walked over, I can only imagine thinking that I was trying to steal the computer, otherwise it’s even more bizarre.

    “Do you sell bibles?”
    “No…”
“Where can I buy a bible?”
    “A bookstore…”
    “Where’s the closest bookstore?”
“Barnes and Noble is down the hall that way”
    “Have you been there?”
    “Yes…”
    “Did you buy a bible?”
    “No…”
    “Why not?”
…yeah pretty much the whole time until I was able to take the computer in the back.

Where was the kid’s friggin’ parents anyway? I was looking for them the whole time.

  • Anything I came up with for a comment here has been said already. But the comment on the other site about why should we care what she was doing, annoyed me. How about I send up my kid to hand out atheist literature? Now, why in the hell would that bother a religious person? Because it’s annoying! Man, I feel sorry for those kids that are put up to this nonsense.
