Freethought Conference in the Pacific Northwest

If you live in the Portland area, the Northwest Freethought Conference is coming your way at the end of March!

The conference will feature keynotes from Dr. David Domke (Professor of Communication at the UW), Dr. Bob Park (retired physics professor from the University of Maryland), and Roy Speckhardt (Executive Director of the American Humanist Association). There will also be workshops on evolution, organization building, and living rationally and reasonably.

There is a cost but it includes all meals and lodging is available for those who need it.

Clarification by comma: “There is a cost but it includes all meals, and lodging is available for those who need it.”

(A block of rooms is being held for conference attendees)

A bunch of us from the Seattle-Tacoma area are planning to go…

I just read Dr. Park’s book Superstition. It was very good, I recommend it, although the first few chapters move a bit slowly. I would love to hear him speak. Wish I could be there, but its a bit of a hike from Boston.

Not to be all English major about it, but, that comma you’d like, Eliza, isn’t necessary. But, I see your intention (lodging isn’t included in the price). Sorry, it’s like a disease.

But, I am in the Northwest, so I might check this out. Thanks!
