What would you do if your dying mother asked you to pray with her?
If the situation isn’t about me, I’m willing to push my atheism aside for a bit. It’s not like I’d “win” anything for standing firm.
But your heart has to go out to the postcard writer, who didn’t mean anything by refusing to pray, but has regretted the decision ever since.
