Twenty years after it was first published, Philip Pullman‘s His Dark Materials trilogy is getting a nifty reboot. Today marks the release of a graphic novel version of The Golden Compass (with the rest of the trilogy coming soon):
Pullman is also releasing a special 20th Anniversary Edition of The Golden Compass.
The series, which has anti-religious themes, has been described as an “atheist parable.” Pullman even said in a 2003 interview that “My books are about killing God.”
Festivus comes a bit early this year!
