Pastor Says True Christians Shouldn’t Celebrate Halloween

Quick: What’s the point of Halloween?

If you said you putting on fun costumes or getting candy, then join the club.

If you said “celebrating evil,” then you must be Jamie Morgan, a Christian pastor who says people of faith should condemn the holiday:

This baby is obviously doing the work of Satan.

Setting aside a day to celebrate evil, darkness, witchcraft, fear, death and the demonic brings disdain to God. Period. A Christian celebrating Halloween would be like a Satan worshiper putting up a nativity scene at Christmas while singing, “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” The two just don’t go together.

I’m gonna bet Morgan likes burning Harry Potter books in her free time…

Look: Most people who do anything Halloween-related are just having a good time. Kids walk around in cute costumes and get candy. Adults wear something they normally wouldn’t and hang out with their friends. (You know, like church.) Good luck finding people performing Satanic rituals as if Halloween truly represents anything dark and deadly.

No one tell Morgan about the Pagan origins of Christmas…
