YouTuber Counter Arguments does a wonderful job explaining why religion is so much more than a language — it’s a way of life that some people take very seriously, often to dangerous ends.
As the video makes clear, if faith is a language, then everything (politics, sports, etc) is a language, and the idea becomes meaningless. This is just a way to trivialize the very real problems with irrational dogma masquerading as respectable religion.
