My Belief in God Made Me Cuter, Says Christian Musician

I don’t usually post old videos on this site, but this one’s new to me and it hasn’t received much attention, so there you go.

It’s a speech by Christian musician Jenn Johnson about her “journey with the Holy Spirit.” Typical Christian testimonial. But I will admit I’ve never heard anyone explain how believing in God made them more attractive.

… I remember, years and years ago, I used to… look in the mirror and think to myself, like, “Oh, I’m having an ugly day,” or “Meh,” you know, all the thoughts that you think in your mind.

And God spoke to me… and said, “That’s not what I think about you. When are you gonna start believing what I think about you?”

And I can’t prove it on paper, but the day I believed I was beautiful because God said I was beautiful, I got cuter.

Got that, everyone? If you’re going out, just believe in Jesus a little harder and you won’t even have to bother with makeup. It’s in the Bible somewhere, I’m sure.

By the way, in another part of that same speech, Johnson talks about how God grabbed her by the hair and sent her into outer space. Obviously.
