The Faith@Work Consultation

A warm welcome to our regular readers as well as those joining us for the first time to consider what it means to be a person of faith in the workplace. Since we will roll out new articles and meditations on a daily basis, and the conversation will unfold in real time on the Discussion Forum, please bookmark the Evangelical Gateway. This "Guide" document will be updated daily, with links to the meditations and articles as they appear-and you can also find them referenced on the gateway blog.

The schedule of this online Consultation (subject to amendment depending on how the conversation evolves) is as follows:

Week 1 (June 30th to July 6th): Readers are invited to "consult" with us, through a Discussion Forum that Patheos has dedicated to the Faith@Work Consultation. Please register and tell us about the five most pressing issues or problems you face as a person of faith in the workplace. We will cull out a final list of the top five issues.

Week 2 (July 7th to July 13th): Once our list is formulated, readers are invited to share their thoughts on each issue out of their own experiences and insights. We will draw on our collective wisdom to find different ways of thinking Christianly about each issue.

Week 3 (July 14th to 20th): Having explored each of the five issues in a preliminary manner, we invite experts to share their thoughts as we seek practical application. How can we better integrate our lives of faith and our lives of work?

Also, each week we will be rolling out new material, with new meditations presented on the Evangelical Gateway every day throughout the Consultation, and new articles appearing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We have great material on the way, so check back often.

But it all starts by coming to this main thread and telling us about the five most pressing issues you face as a Christian in the workplace. Help get the Consultation started!
