There’s something about bellydancing that has always fascinated me. I can’t describe it. The music is so hypnotic, the movements seem almost natural. When thoughts like these come to me, it’s obvious that I was adopted, because there is certainly nothing in the background of my adoptive family that would ever lead me to consider such a direction. My parents liked to jitterbug and waltz—both of which I love, as well, having done ballroom dance for a while. Lots of fun,... Read more

Oh, this is just the coolest. I’ve just discovered Pandora Radio (www.pandora.com), a FREE streaming internet radio site,  and I really like it. I get to make what they call a “radio station” with all or only the music I like. I’ve made about five stations so far, and it’s actually had to limit myself. I think this is one of those things that makes the internet great.Related articles by ZemantaHow to Play Internet Radio and Pandora without a Computer (chris.pirillo.com)Pandora,... Read more

I’ve been thinking. If you only knew me by reading my blog, you might think I was just a whiney complainer, who has no life outside of her very disorganized, book-filled house. But that’s so not true. Most people who know me think that I’m a well-adjusted, well-read, intelligent, attractive women who is involved in community activities and church. But... Read more

Working on a little jazz ditty that popped into my head while I was on retreat. Roger made me promise to write all these things I’m always thinking of down, because otherwise they usually slip away. So this is it, and I’m working on the tune and chords now, but I don’t quite know how to add the piano music to the blog post. You can butter my toast, dear Any time that you like.
