To some people looking at Tuesday’s election

It’s about people who are hurting.  For others, it’s about this or that demographic.  It’s fashionable in some circles today to look past the human person and immediately try to box them into a label based on race, religion, gender, sexual attraction, gender identification, or any one of a thousand different categories we can come up with.  Not that there aren’t demographics or identities or anything.  I just have to chuckle as I notice which group is saying ‘yeah, but people were hurting’ and which group is saying ‘yeah, but it’s all about that race, ’bout that race.’
