We’re all about that race

Jonah Goldberg has too much fun poking holes in the modern racism of race obsession.  I know it’s tough to avoid, since racism is real, a fact of history, and something that still hurts people today.  Most dangerous ideas usually have some basis in fact.  After all, some off the wall loony idea with no basis in anything real will likely get a few people, but not many, to listen.  But since racism is real, is sin, is evil, it’s easy to get swept along until you realize that you’re not standing your ground along with Col. Nicholson against the ravages of evil, but like the good colonel, you’ve lost all perspective and are advocating a twisted version of the very sin you began by opposing.
