Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year December 24, 2016

wise men scene

I’d like to thank everyone who comes by my blog and those who enrich it with your insights.  We might not always agree, but not a day goes by that I don’t take something from it.

I’ll be scarce for the rest of the year, so blogging will be light at best.  Vacation coming around.  The festival of peace and salvation is at hand!  My family was able to swing an entire week off together, so we’ll be hanging close, feasting, celebrating, and finding ways to love our neighbors as ourselves.

It’s been a crazy 2016.  Much lost, hopefully much learned.  The next year will show that, in the end, things don’t change much through the ages.  Just as this one did.  Which is why anchoring hope in an unchangeable makes all the difference.

So celebrate the coming week.  Whatever your background, enjoy.  To my Jewish friends who celebrate it, Happy Hanukkah!  To my brothers and sisters in Christ, Merry Christmas!  And to them and everyone else, may you have a wonderful, blessed, and safe New Year. God be with you all.

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
