The next battle in the sexual revolution

Open marriages!  GetReligion looks at the NYT Magazine’s tackling of this minor, but growing, movement.

With all due respect to Ms. Duin, there’s little to suggest that in future years the call will not be for anyone and everyone to have sex with anyone or everyone else, minors included.  I could be wrong of course.  After all, as recently as a decade or so ago, I believed Bill Nye when he said chromosomes determine gender. So there you go.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Anthony Esolen provides a counter cultural perspective to the developments bringing us the ‘someday sex with everyone’ movement.  Out of the Ashes, while unlikely to change the momentum, nonetheless looks like an interesting reminder that there are people out there who disagree with where things are, and where they are going.

I haven’t read it yet, so I won’t comment on its quality.  William Briggs has, and seems to approve.
