The Gray Lady looks at La Civiltà

A fair enough look at the kerfuffle.  The La Civiltà piece was, to me, no different than anything else I’ve seen.  Basically a Catholic with sympathies toward left leaning ideals fired a broadside at conservative Catholics and their unholy alliance with Evangelicals.  Just as Conservatives used to fire away at unholy alliances between Catholics and liberal Protestants.  What comes around I guess.
