Tensions Rise in the Middle East
Right now, Israel and Iran face rising conflict and fear. In June 2025, Israel launched “Operation Rising Lion” against Iran. Israeli jets struck nuclear and military sites across Iran. In response, Iran launched drones and missiles at Israeli cities. Both sides suffered heavy losses, including top officials and scientists. As tensions grow, many ask what it means. Interestingly, the Bible mentions Persia—modern-day Iran—in prophecy. Ezekiel 38:5 (NKJV) says, “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet.” So, many believe these events reflect prophecy. That belief helps us hold to God’s plan in every battle.
Faith Grows in Dangerous Places
Despite danger, the underground church in Iran keeps growing. Christians worship secretly in homes, fearing arrest or worse. Even so, they boldly share Jesus with others. They risk jobs, safety, and freedom for the Gospel. 2 Timothy 2:9 (NKJV) says, “But the word of God is not chained.” That verse reminds us that God moves through any situation. Even when Israel and Iran battle, faith spreads. Truly, love for Jesus grows even in war zones.
Women Lead with Strength and Love
Next, many women lead in Iran’s underground church. They teach new believers, care for others, and share God’s word. Their work challenges cultural rules and risks great punishment. Even so, they lead with wisdom, strength, and love. Galatians 3:28 (NKJV) says, “There is neither male nor female… for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Their example reveals God’s view of social justice and equality. While Iran and Israel clash, God uses faithful women to change lives.
World Leaders Cannot Escape God’s Hand
Now, consider how politics shape this conflict. Former President Trump removed the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal. His “maximum pressure” policy aimed to protect Israel and weaken Iran. Yet, decisions from leaders don’t surprise God. Proverbs 21:1 (NKJV) says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord.” So, even powerful people like Trump serve God’s plan. That gives us peace when war surrounds us.
Peacemakers Reflect God’s Heart
Thankfully, Christian leaders worldwide call for peace through prayer and dialogue. For example, Cardinal Mathieu in Tehran urges both sides to talk. Many believe peace comes only when people open their hearts. Jesus said in Matthew 5:9 (NKJV), “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” God honors those who work for unity. These peacemakers show love, not hate, in the face of war.
There’s a Hidden Spiritual Battle
Behind bombs and policies, there’s a spiritual war. In the Bible, Persia appears not just politically, but spiritually. Daniel 10:13 (NKJV) speaks of the “prince of the kingdom of Persia.” That shows how evil forces influence nations. While Israel and Iran fight, unseen battles rage above. Therefore, we must pray and trust God’s strength.
People Choose Peace Over Revenge
Some groups choose social justice and peace over hate. For instance, Combatants for Peace unites Israelis and Palestinians who lost loved ones. They now work together for peace and healing. Romans 12:18 (NKJV) says, “If it is possible… live peaceably with all men.” These groups remind us to choose love, even when war surrounds us.
Persecution Makes Faith Stronger
The Iranian church grows stronger through pain. Believers use satellite TV, secret apps, and social media to share Jesus. Government efforts can’t stop them. Romans 8:28 (NKJV) reminds us, “All things work together for good to those who love God.” Even hardship leads to God’s purpose. This also inspires believers in Israel and beyond.
Prayers Bring Powerful Peace
Next, prayer remains the church’s strongest weapon. Bishop Zaidan urges people to pray for peace in the Middle East. James 3:18 (NKJV) says, “The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” Through prayer, we invite God’s help in every situation. Whether under Trump’s rule or during airstrikes in Israel, prayer works.
Simple Faith Still Changes Lives
In Iran, house churches meet quietly. They don’t need buildings or pastors to grow. Instead, they focus on prayer, Scripture, and community. Acts 2:46-47 (NKJV) says, “They ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” Their joy proves that simple faith brings powerful change. Even during war, love and truth still thrive.
Warfare Expands, But Prayer Grows Too
Now, the conflict spreads across borders. Israel targets deeper inside Iran than ever before. As fighting grows, so does global prayer. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NKJV) tells us to pray for all who are in authority. That includes presidents, kings, and generals. Even when Trump led or now, prayer must never stop.
Surprising Salvation in Hard Places
Strangely, many Iranians meet Jesus during this crisis. Their hunger for hope leads them to Christ. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) says, “‘My thoughts are not your thoughts… My ways higher than your ways.’” God often works where we least expect. He brings love and truth even during enemy conflict with Israel.
Christians Serve With Compassion
Next, international Christian groups support Iranian believers with Bibles, food, and leadership help. Galatians 6:10 (NKJV) says, “Let us do good… especially to those… of the household of faith.” These groups show real love and social justice. Their work brings healing between Israel, Iran, and beyond.
Be Wise and Kind Always
Christians must stay wise during hard times. Matthew 10:16 (NKJV) says, “Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” This means speak kindly, live humbly, and trust God. Even when leaders like Trump stir division, we must reflect peace.
Stand Firm in God’s Truth
We must not panic when war hits headlines. Instead, we cling to God’s word. Micah 6:8 (NKJV) tells us to “do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” That call includes all of us, in Israel, Iran, or anywhere. Peace, love, and social justice show who we truly serve.
God’s Plan in Every Battle
Lastly, we remember why these events matter. We trust in God’s plan in every battle, not just the ones we see. Philippians 4:7 (NKJV) says, “The peace of God… will guard your hearts and minds.” That promise remains true today. Whether in Israel, during Trump’s leadership, or in times of social justice, we trust God’s hand. His love wins, even in war.
