"We're here in the neighborhood talking with people about the Bible."

I answered the knock at my door to find a pair of elderly ladies clutching well worn Bibles.

“We’re here in the neighborhood talking with people about the Bible.”
“That’s a great,” I said. “I have a Master of Divinity degree.”
“We’re Jehovah Witnesses and we’re sharing with people the importance of the Bible.”
“A Master of Divinity degree is 90 credit hours. A typical Masters degree is 30 credits, so a Master of Divinity degree is like a law degree or three masters in education or business.”
“Well, as I said, we’re just out here talking with people about the Bible.”
“That’s cool, what would you like to know?”
“Oh. We’re here to answer people’s questions about the Bible.”
“I’m good. With my Master of Divinity I had a lot of classes about the Bible, but most of my electives were in counseling. So I’m familiar with the history of the Bible and how it was written, as well as the Hermeneutic I use when interpreting scripture. But I’ve read most of the Bible, some of it several times.”
“Oh, ok.”
“You ladies take it easy out there, and have a good day.”
“Thank you, you too.”
