Morning has broken.

Morning has broken. April 30, 2019

I haven’t done this a lot since we relocated to Columbus but, when I was in Grand Rapids, I would make breakfast every morning before I went to work. One of my favorite things to do (much to the dismay of my wife) was use our wedding china to eat off of and drink out of. The reason?
Easy.
This is the day the L-RD has made. I should rejoice and be glad in it.
“Why is our china in the sink?”
(Me yelling from the living room) “THIS the day the L-RD has made JANETTE.
She looooves it.
This is one of those things that, when I take the time to remind myself and set aside a new way of doing something, my day actually feels pretty good. Using something that is typically set aside for a special occasion helps me remember that today is a special occasion. My breath is a special occasion. Your presence is a special occasion that occurs every day.
I realize this isn’t my usual type of post but, the picture of the cyclops egg with the strawberry smile was my breakfast this morning and this is one of those practices I not only want to get back into but share with you all.
May you use your finest dish ware when you are eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or ramen because you are rejoicing in the day that the L-RD has made.
Grace and peace.
