Palm Tuesday on Wednesday

Hello everyone.

This was a lot of fun to record, but more over there were quite a few learning moments for myself that I am grateful for, here are just a few highlights:

1. For a long time I was under the impression that the teachers of Israel had the imagery of the fig tree or just figs in general. This isn’t the case! I love learning, and cannot wait to see what comes with this new insight.
2. During a moment when we had pause in recording Don pointed something out to me that I had said, and brought up that in the future I should take the time to check the sources that I am studying (whether prepping for this podcast, writing, or just in general) for their tone. Especially around ancient (and modern) Israel/Judaism. While this is something I am almost alway conscious of, it was just a great reminder that our tradition hasn’t always held Judaism (and lets be honest other religions) in the highest of regards and that it is something we should always look out for.
3. Even the most repetitive parts of the Prophets writings are important and still can wreck our thoughts and lives today.
