Gather Your Green-thumbed Friends !
Spring is here! For some of us, we want the warm weather to come in and stay consistent. During this time, a lot of us are preparing our gardens and flower beds.
Some of us are hosting Springtime Gardening parties and inviting our friends, family, and church family to help us bring in this wonderful season. If you are doing the latter you may want to save this blog post. A common question I am asked when hosting a garden party is what activities and food items are the best to make it a success.
Hosting A Successful Garden Party
Send out invites– Send out invites on recyclable paper or paper that has been repurposed as seedlings. It is a great way to get your guests excited and a wonderful memento, they can plant in their garden later.
Dress Code– Make sure to let your guests know to wear the proper attire (i.e. coveralls, casual clothing, gardening shoes, and gloves).
Gardening Tools: Make sure to let your guests know if you are providing all of the gardening tools or if they need to bring their own.
A Speech: Speeches are best done at the beginning or when the food is served. That way, your message will be heard.
Food: What better way to feed your guests than with some fresh greens that you have made into a delicious meal.
