Hurt *A Poem for Resilience and Healing**
In the shadows where silence weeps,
Voices tremble, and sorrow keeps,
But hear me now, oh weary soul,
You are not alone, you are whole.
With every bruise that fades away,
A story of strength begins to play,
You rise like the sun from the darkest night,
A beacon of hope, a radiant light.
They may have tried to break your will,
But spirit’s fire, it burns still,
With every tear that falls like rain,
You gather courage from the pain.
Through the storm, you learn to stand,
With love and grace, you take command,
No more chains that hold you tight,
You’re breaking free, you’re taking flight.
So lift your voice, let it soar,
There’s power in your heart, forevermore,
In unity, we find our song,
Together, we’ll rise, we’ll right the wrong.
For every heart that’s bruised and torn,
A new beginning can be born,
With hands that lift and eyes that see,
We’ll create a world where we can all be free.
Listen here, folks. We gotta talk about something heavy that’s been hanging over our heads like a storm cloud—domestic violence. It’s real, it’s painful, and it’s affecting too many lives. You see, there’s a saying that goes, “hurt people hurt people.” It means when someone’s been hurt, they might end up hurting others. This isn’t just about bad choices; it’s about learned behavior, often passed down from one generation to the next.
Now, the good book tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as God forgave you.” That’s a strong word right there. We gotta let go of the anger and be kind, even when it feels impossible. But let me tell you, being kind doesn’t mean you put up with abuse. If you’re in a bad situation, you need to get help. Reach out to hotlines, shelters—there are folks out there ready to help you.
And let’s not forget the spiritual side of things. Ephesians 6:12 says that our fight isn’t just with people; it’s against the dark forces in the world. We gotta pray and push back against those evil spirits that wanna tear us apart. Surround yourself with good people, the kind who lift you up and keep you safe.
I’m excited to share something with you all—my new magazine, **Listen Linda Magazine**, is out there on Amazon. This magazine is all about raising awareness for domestic violence and giving folks the tools they need to heal. It’s a place for stories, support, and a whole lot of hope.
**What Does Linda Think?**
Now, let me tell you how I see it. Life is messy, and healing ain’t easy. Sometimes it feels like you’re walking through mud, but I believe in the power of community and faith to help us through. We gotta lift each other up, especially when things get tough. Remember, everyone you meet is fighting their own battle. So let’s choose kindness, let’s choose to listen, and let’s stand together against the darkness.
And if you or someone you know is dealing with domestic violence, know this: You are not alone. Reach out, share what you’re going through, and let’s work together to break this cycle of hurt. We can be the light for someone who feels lost in the shadows.
