Much of the suffering we experience is the result of trying to cling and hold onto our life that is passing away. Jesus knew when we focus our attention only on the here and now there is little hope of finding peace in the turbulence of the storms we encounter. He taught we must turn loose of our life to discover eternal life in Him for nothing in this world is permanent and lasting. Jesus suffered and died to reveal the timeless revelation of the Father above calling us to experience in our inner being the presence of self-sacrificing love and resurrection power.
We no longer suffer without purpose or hope, but now with the expectation as the apostle, Paul writes, for our light and momentary troubles, are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV.
Scripture: For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. Mathew 16:25 NIV
