Summer Solstice Ritual of Positivity and Change.

Dragon is the theme, red and gold the colours, noon the time.

Dress self (and altar) with flame and fire colours.
Have a wind chime hung where it can catch the random breeze– to create noise/music.
Have a large red candle (or in your cauldron sticks for burning). and appropriate oils, incense etc.

Cast your circle and sit – face the sun (or South) with eyes closed- breath deeply and feel the spirit of the South fill you. Now light your fire /or big candle.
Look into the flame – feel the sun – feel the flame-
When you are ready call out the dragons:

“Come my friends; great beasts of flame
Your fiery breath I seek to tame,
Lords of chaos, masters of change
The time has come to re-arrange.

I face you, I embrace you,
Calling your powers unto me
That I may change this problem world
through positivity.”

Now with eyes closed yet turn to the sun, or looking into the flame, see/envisage a host of mighty beasts flying towards you like a flock of geese, from the very Sun itself, they are dragons of every fiery hue and type. As the great flock gets nearer one huge dragon breaks ranks and heads straight to you, it is Tiamat, Dragon Mistress of Change, She lands next to you and bids you climb upon her back- you are afraid but you are brave…………for She will make you confront the things that are hurting, the problems, the difficulties.

She flies now with you returning into the sun; feel the heat, feel the flame consume you, for you are only flesh and you see it disintegrate before your eyes………..accept the shock and fear…hold on tight, and trust …………..let go of all that this zorbic world has and become spirit with Tiamat as you enter the Sun.

When you have entered the Sun’s eye, your fears disappear, all is tranquil, you are pure spirit and flame. Many other women are there also, ancient and wise; talk with them, confide in them your problems and listen to their suggestions, there is nothing this life can throw at you that they have not experienced, they have seen it all!
Allow yourself to cry if you need to, to feel their love supporting you.
When you are ready mount again on Tiamat’s back and She will fly you back home.
Thank Her. And bid Her farewell.

Sit quietly, open your eyes, feel flesh return and re-assemble to make you whole again, become grounded and when ready close the circle; last of all extinguish the flame.
