Pagan Spirit Gathering Update

Pagan Spirit Gathering Update

We have had rain, and WiFi issues and just a lot of things going on, so forgive me for not updating sooner.

So many amazing things going on, as usual, and there are handfastings, Wiccanings, ordinations and rites of passage. I’ll give a further update on those things but today I just want to hit the high spots.

Patrick McCollum held a press conference organized by Pagan media. I’m still overwhelmed by that. Audio on The Wild Hunt.

This site is gorgeous. I know this being the first year here at Stonehouse Park the staff are handling a million emergencies but everything is running smooth. The camp owners are amazing people and I’m very happy we’re here. This land feels like home.

Media Camp held a symposia dinner organized by Cara Schulz. Maybe it’s absurd to have a formal dinner at a Pagan camping festival but it was fun. The food was amazing and the company fantastic.

I know it’s not a popular workshift, but I did the overnight gate shift this morning. For six hours I tended a fire and chatted with a delightful Pagan artist until the dawn arrived, and it was an experience I will treasure.

Despite not actually attending PSG this year, it seems Jason Pitzl-Waters has been up to shenanigans. People disappointed he wasn’t able to participate in Media Camp are making up stories about his misadventures. So far I hear he was doing yoga in the women’s showers, that he was found asleep in Hawkdancing Studios temple, and that he made various absurd announcements at morning meeting. I suppose it’s a mark of affection that people here at PSG have for Jason and The Wild Hunt, but perhaps it’s also a lesson that when you’re not present, that’s when folks volunteer you for everything and plan pranks.

More to come!
