Dreams of the Silk Road

Dreams of the Silk Road November 5, 2011

Today I woke early and with friends ventured out to the Dekalb Farmer’s Market, which may be one of the coolest things in Atlanta. We were in search of spices rare and exotic (nutmeg) and herbs heady and sacred (sage).

We came back laden-down with tarragon, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, rosemary and other culinary delights at a fraction of the price of the grocery store herbs and spices. I admit, I feel a bit rich with bags brimming with colorful, pungent spices. Like a trader on the silk road, carting the treasures of the plant kingdom across continents.

So I have nothing Pagan to say today. I just wanted to share my cumin and basil vibe with you.
