About

Dr. Andrew Mark Henry is a scholar of late antique Mediterranean religion. His research focuses on popular religion, demonology, and the materiality of magical ritual (e.g. late Roman amulets). Andrew also manages Religion for Breakfast, a YouTube channel dedicated to online religious literacy education. He is interested in designing digital approaches to improving the public’s understanding of religion and examining how disinformation about religion spreads on social media platforms. Andrew currently is a postdoctoral fellow at the American Research Center in Egypt where he is conducting research on ancient Coptic Christian iconography.
