L. Ron Hubbard defined confusion as “any set of factors or circumstances which do not seem to have any immediate solution,” and in the book The Problems of Work he devotes an entire chapter to how to resolve confusions.
And it is one of the easiest tools in Scientology to apply.
How many factors or circumstances are there in your life that don’t seem to have any immediate solution, such as:
- Is he cheating on me?
- How to I make enough money to make ends meet without killing myself off?
- How do I make it in this profession without compromising my integrity?
- How do I deal with my mother-in-law/mother/father/boss never being satisfied with me/always wanting to interfere with the way I….
- What’s really going on with my son/daughter… how come he seems so withdrawn?
I’m sure I don’t have to go on. You probably have your own confusion staring you down every day of your life.
But one last one, just to put it in perspective:
How will you ever increase in spiritual awareness or freedom with all your energy tied up in trying to cope with or resolve irresolvable confusions?
