The East Grinstead band, who have been together for 21 years, launched Diggin’ The Roots Volume 2: Hot Jazz to a sell-out crowd. The new record is a 12-track album covering all the greatest jazz artists of the Golden Age, but vamped up in their unique “hot jive” rhythmic swinging style. It is described by lead singer Ian Clarkson as like the “American Songbook” with a toe-tapping beat.

The band is big, colorful, with larger-than-life characters who have great stories to tell.

The Jive Aces have sold out the Royal Albert Hall, performed for the Queen and worked with the likes of John Travolta and Van Morrison.

The band has also supported the Say No To Drugs. Say Yes To Life campaign for 20 years, giving concerts all over the world to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and the solutions to the drug problems.

The band’s song Bring Me Sunshine was even prescribed by a doctor in Seattle to cheer up patients suffering with depression.
