I was using a guided mediation called “Connecting to your Inner Guide.” Most of my practices are not very complicated. This meditation asked me to investigate and feel my inner guide. At one point, I was supposed to touch an area of my body where I felt this.
Most times when I am struggling a little, I feel it in my heart. This morning I felt a slight tightness in my chest area, specifically around my heart. So that is where I placed my hand. But something interesting started to happen right away.
My hand started to move away from my chest ever so slowly. I got the impression of my heart expanding to outside my chest. As my hand moved outward slowly (about 6 inches), the tightness in my chest released.
When I think about inner guides and such, I usually think about learning. I look to my third eye or even my crown chakras to guide me. I feel like I need wisdom from the outside or better intuition to guide me. But this morning’s meditation clarified that for me.
My guide is my heart and the way forward is to expand my heart energy toward others. I don’t need to understand better — I need to love better. My inner guide is not a Yoda type figure hiding inside me — my inner guide is my heart — the real me that has always been there.
I can’t guarantee this is the way forward for anyone else, but I’m sure it is for me!
Be where you are, be who you are,
