MJ is formally educated in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, and enjoys applying its principles in her role as the Technical Coordinator for the George Mason University Women’s Volleyball Team. As a former NCAA D1 student athlete herself, MJ is intimately familiar with the struggles athletes face, and is passionate about helping reduce the stress of those struggles. She has mentored hundreds of athletes both on and off the court as a volleyball coach, recruitment specialist, mental performance coach, and team dynamics consultant. MJ has mentored elite coaches on their leadership, communication, and management of team dynamics, and has completed applied consultations in the for-profit, non-profit, military, educational, and elite sport sectors. In the
classroom, MJ has taught courses on Social Psychology, I/O Psychology, Psychology of Gender, CrossCultural Psychology, and Research Methods, and her peer-reviewed publications have hundreds of citations. MJ currently teaches at Trinity Washington University.
