I had never seen this image before, but apparently it’s quite well-known. It shows an unborn child gripping a surgeon’s finger during a prenatal procedure to treat spina bifida. The Archdiocese of Washington’s Catholic Standard has the background story (hat tip to Deacon Greg Kandra). If you have a minute, read it. It is photos and stories like this that remind me why I am pro-life, and why I firmly believe that in the end, humanity will see the truth about abortion.
