While Gaza was being cut off from aid (by both Israeli and Palestinian Leaders– although Hamas, it appears, has returned much of what it confiscated), the election in Israel took place, and the world watched, knowing the results of the election would give indications of what Israel’s future actions would be. Indeed, the recent strike against Gaza seems, in part, to have been fueled by the election. Sadly, now that the votes have been tallied, it appears the end result is.. inconclusive. Despite being too close to call, both major candidates for Prime Minister have claimed victory. From this, we can only say Israel will continue to be a battlefield, both within and without. No resolution will be had from this election. But, on the other hand, it seems Israeli Arabs are happy with how things went. Maybe that is something?
